On the passing of Richard Auklandus

I found out a few hours ago that Richard Auklandus, aka Viscount Gaius Auklandus, OL, OP, KSCA, passed away today. He was a fellow SCAdian, a co-worker, and a brother Mason. He was a generous man, who shared both his knowledge and his worldly possessions with everyone, even an upstart pursuivant with delusions of being a king. I had looked forward to seeing him again at GWW, but unfortunately those plans fell through.

I'll probably have more to say later, but words still aren't coming as freely as I'd like.
