Christmas comes early
Dec. 24th, 2007 08:08 amSo, as I said in the voice post, I went up to Bakersfield this weekend, both to visit family for the holidays and to visit friends for the Solstice. When I pulled up at mom's house, a Toyota Sienna LE was waiting for me.
Now, I knew about this for a little while. My family has a mini-fleet of vehicles that they shuffle around every other year to optimize their lease options. This year, it was time for my Tacoma to return to the motor pool, so I was given the keys to the Sienna instead.
He handles a lot differently than the Tacoma. For starters, the Sienna is built on a Camry chassis, so it has a turn radius of virtually nil. It's like having a grand piano on a roller skate. He's also a V6 (as opposed to the straight 4 of the Tacoma) and is a lot larger. It'll take some getting used to, but I think I'll be happy with the vehicle.
Then I went to visit my best friend Jen, who presented me with an awesome sock monkey. His name is Pomegranate, and he's currently sitting on my desk at work.
