Sympathies. Scripps did that last year -- I don't know if the other 5Cs did or not -- but they didn't cancel all phone service. We still had local calls. For long-distance they advised cell, calling card, or prepaid phone card. Most students apparently didn't use long distance much, and already had cell phones. I spent the whole year creatively getting out of calling long-distance, since I didn't feel like buying a cell or a phone card. But then, as I recall, it used to take me an entire year to run my phone bill up to minimum payment (about $10).
