A friend sent me a forwarded message that showed some vaguely interesting (if contrived) parallels of mathematics. Using slightly higher mathematics, it was the rough equivalent of: 11-1=10, 11-2=9, 11-3=8, 11-4=7, and so on, and being amazed that the numbers parallel each other.

After looking at pretty math charts, the email then shifts to a rambling bit about giving 100% and perhaps a little more, then goes into the value of numbers. It shows that when letters are translated into numbers (a=1, b=2...y=25, z=26) and the numbers are added up, words/phrases like "knowledge" and "hard work" get you 96(%) and 98(%), respectively, and "attitude" will get you 100(%), "love of God" will get you 101%, which, the email claims, proves with mathematical certainty that "While Hard Work and Knowledge will get you close, and Attitude will get you there, It's the Love of God that will put you over the top!"

Such infallible logic led me to do more research. I did some calculations, and it turns out "disinterested Jew" puts me at 199%, nearly twice what love of God will get me. In fact, my combined knowledge, attitude, and apathetic Judaism puts me at 395%, a number love of God can only aspire to.

Aren't numbers fun? Of course, I always thought numerology was a form of divination, which Christians try to avoid (Satan and all). But I guess I was wrong. Numerology is a sign of God's Divine Providence, so long as we use carefully selected words in God's official language, English.

GWW X update when I find the energy.

Great Western War 10, the thing I was at with my phone in the car from last Wednesday evening until Monday morning, which is why I didn't get your calls.

Sorry again.

I've seen that one as a workplace motivation. I believe the closers are "bullshitting" and "asskissing"
