Pennsic

Hey everyone.
By now, most of you know that on the 4th of August, I leave for Pennsic. This will be my first Pennsic, and I want to make it a memorable one. I've decided to make this war "Pennsic Sans Pants." I'm making monks' robes, long Norman tunics, chitons, etc. I need suggestions for other garments to keep me cool and bare-legged without exposing anything. Bear in mind this is August in Pennsylvania. Hot n' muggy. Any suggestions?

Also, if anyone has garb lying about which you're not using and might fit me, I could use the extra garments to save me the time of making them. I assure you they are quite safe in my hands. (Buwahahahahahaha)

And behold, my new icon. Sergeant Grumbles!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're not kidding. After my summer of 1997 tour of the eastern seaboard, I can now fully appreciate the statement "but it's a dry heat."

Darn, wish I'd known you were looking for garb when you were up here. I have something that would fit you. You going to Darkwell this w/e?

Nay, I've got work this week-end. But if you guys come down to the Harry Potter party (reserve spots now) we might do the pass-off then.

I'm not sure that "no pants" is an entirely good idea. You might pack some knee-length bike shorts or equivalent to avoid the pain of Chafing. At least make sure you have a lot of baby powder and re-apply frequently. Don't laugh, it's really painful and could ruin your time in just one day.

Aye, baby powder is good times when pants don't exist.
