No, no new housing situation

***UPDATE***
It all goes down in flames.
I talked to benyghted a second ago, and she can't raise the money to move in. So that's out.

And here we are again, back at square 1.

By the way, if anyone is looking for a place in the Long Beach/Signal Hill area that can deal with the pros and cons mentioned below, has the money to move, and can get in on this within the week, let me know. Not holding my breath though.

So...
Jen's decided to go to Chico rather than Long Beach, which means that our plans to move into an apartment together this Spring (or maybe fall) aren't going to happen.
Summer's unable to come up with rent for the loft apartment, so that idea is out.
All of my friends in the area are either out of the dorms and living in apartments with roommates, happily staying in the dorms, or financially unable to rent half an apartment, even for $425 a month including utilities.
I'm never going to be able to get out of the dorms.
