Pictures of the weaving project
Feb. 27th, 2008 11:14 pmAs promised, here are photos of the weaving project, still in progress. Images behind cuts.
( The loom, which I bring to work every day )
As you can see, I've not gotten all that far, about 15 inches into the project. Still, it's coming along nicely, and my one big flub, where I counted 5 too many cards in the wrong direction, isn't completely noticable in the fletching.
( The Little Sash That Couldn't. )
In the old project, the shaft of the arrow is extremely thin. It's been bulked up somewhat in the new design, and I've dropped 20 cards, so there's less empty space to fill. For those who still weren't sure what I was talking about, you can see here that the pattern is reversible.
I took pictures up close to compare the weaving styles and the size differences between the old and new sashes, but they came out very blurry. Thoughts?
