I never thought I'd get a chance to light a CEO's desk on fire.

One of our party is from maintenance, and he's shown us where the fire doors are, and how to access the building's PA system. Working on the assumption that there are people in the building who are safely in hiding, we plan on getting on the PA system to let them know that we're going to trip the fire alarms, which will cause the fire doors to drop and lock the zombies as much in place as we can. We've found the exit to the roof, and our maintenace guy assures us that our way won't be impeded once the fire doors drop.

We'll stay inside the building as long as possible; we've stocked provisions by the exit, and the fire doors should solve our impending zombie invasion. Which is good, because it sounds like they're making their way up the elevator shafts.

If we hear any aircraft, however, we'll be on the roof in less than 30 seconds.

Hon,

How big is the pad, and what weight will the roof support? Also how many do you need to get out and do they have a place to go?

There are 24 of us in all, and none of them are sure where they can go. We've lost phones, and most of them haven't been able to contact their family. I haven't been up to see the pad yet, but the maintenance guy says it's about 200' to a side. Not sure how much weight it can handle, though.

Ask him how thick the deck layer is? 200 to a side can pretty easily handle two transitioning birds at a time but I wouldn't want to do it that way.

Honey, I also need to know about any HVAC fixtures or Hanging wires in the pad zone.

None that I can see.

He doesn't know how thick they are, but says that they've handled two at a time.

Where are you? Are you safe?

Safe as I can be and roaming. Everyone I know in state is tied up with something going on, I'm going to see if I can't contact a private friend in Bishop and see if he can't find us some help.

I don' t know what to tell your people up there, the girls are with me and I won't let them go out of my sight. I've also emptied the safe and it's running hot. Don't like it, and it doesn't have much in the way of firepower but slowdown is about all I can hope for anyway. We have an almost full tank of gas and we aren't stopping for anything at this point.

Give me a little more time to work things out.
